NAVIGATION
Delta utilizes WinFrog navigation software with ORE Trackpoint USBL input combined with an SG Brown Gyro compass. Positions are
recorded onto a spreadsheet automatically. Delta Oceanographics helped pioneer the high accuracy acoustic positioning ORE Trackpoint system.

SONAR
Delta's Imagenex 881 high performance sector scanning sonar can
operate and display data in variable sector (up to a complete circle), polar, linear and profiling mode.

DATA LOGGING
Delta continuously logs depth, temperature, conductivity, and altimeter data
using a Seabird SBE 19+ CTD.

|
|
|
MANIPULATORS
The hydraulic arm can place or retrieve scientific instrumentation on vertical wall terraces, pick up geological and
biological samples to depths of 1,200', and collect methane gasses.
The mechanical arm can collect specimens to depths of 600' as well as manipulate scientific instruments and
devices.

VISIBILITY
Delta has 19 flat viewports through which the observer can see an undistorted
view of the seafloor from less than 1 foot away and only a few inches from
a pipeline or outcrop, allowing close-up photography and observations even in poor visibility.
